Veterans & Members

The Welfare Committee at Seaford RSL have developed a wide range of services and resources to support members their families and the wider community. These include

  • Advocating on behalf of service members
  • Support for lifestyle options (to facilitate remaining connected with ex-service personnel
  • Pension advice/ Independent living advise
  • Facilitate RSL Funeral Rituals
  • Provide financial support in necessitous circumstances.
  • Provide referral to aged, health, respite and a broad range of community services
  • Weekly telephone support calls
  • Weekly home and hospital visits
  • Liaising with extended family members/ carers

Seaford RSL Members

Coffee Club

Service Members Coffee Club meets every second Tuesday at 0930. Offering an opportunity to get together with other veterans for coffee, morning tea and a chat. Special activities are also arranged from time to time, such as the Guitar workshop as seen in the video below. For more information Contact John Biles: Welfare Co-ordinator


Membership provides benefits for everyone in our community, including veterans and non veterans. Members receive special offers and services, and are able to particiapte in the club either socially or by acting on our Committee. Membership benefits include:

The RSL offers three main forms of membership. All Membership categories allow for access to the venue for social purposes without the need to sign in.

Social Membership
Social Membership is available for those in our community who would like to be a part of their local RSL Sub-Branch on a social level. Social members are represented on our Sub-branch committee and nominate for election at the A.G.M. held in March each year.

Service Membership
Service membership is for those who have are or have served in the Australian Armed Defence Force or any of Australia’s allied armed forces and meet strict eligibility requirements. (Minimum 6 months service)

Affiliate Membership
Affiliate membership is for those related to people eligible for Service Membership and provides full voting rights. This category is also offered to members or ex-members Emergency services including Police, metropolitan and regional fire brigades and SES. Speak to a committee member or our office to discover how you can upgrade from being a social member to become an Affiliate membership.
